Angler's Loop
Also known as:Dropper Loop

Description
A loop tied in the middle of a fishing leader to attach a dropper fly or weight. The tag end is wrapped around the standing part and passed back through the top loop, creating a loop that stands out perpendicular to the leader.
Common Uses
Attaching dropper flies in fly fishing; creating a branching point in a leader for multiple hooks or weights.
How to Tie
- 1Form a large loop in the middle of the leader.
- 2Wrap the tag end around one side of the leader 4-6 times.
- 3Pass the tag end back through the large loop at the top of the wraps.
- 4Pull the tag end to tighten the wraps. The resulting loop stands perpendicular to the leader.
