Palomar Knot

Description
A strong, simple knot that retains nearly 100% of the line's breaking strength. The line is doubled before passing through the hook eye, making it especially effective for braided lines.
Common Uses
Tying hooks, swivels, and lures to monofilament and braided fishing lines.
How to Tie
- 1Double 6 inches of line to form a loop and pass it through the hook eye.
- 2Tie a loose overhand knot with the doubled line (do not tighten).
- 3Pass the hook through the loop of the doubled line.
- 4Moisten and pull the standing end to tighten the knot against the eye.
