Description

A decorative and functional stopper knot that is bulkier than a double overhand. The rope is formed into a wall knot by passing each strand through the loop formed by the next.

Common Uses

Decorative stopper knot, end of a rope where a large and attractive stopper is desired.

How to Tie

  1. 1Form a loop in the rope near the end.
  2. 2Pass the working end through the loop and around behind the standing part.
  3. 3Pass the working end through the loop again, beside the first pass.
  4. 4Dress carefully so the strands form a uniform, crown-like pattern. Tighten gradually.
