Description

Two Prusik knots used in tandem on the same rope for rope walking and ascending. One knot is attached to the foot and the other to the harness. The climber alternates weight between them to ascend.

Common Uses

Rope ascending (prusiking), rope access work, recreational tree climbing.

How to Tie

  1. 1Tie two identical Prusik loops using 6mm cord wrapped around the main rope.
  2. 2Attach one Prusik to the harness with a carabiner.
  3. 3Attach the other Prusik to foot loops with a carabiner.
  4. 4Stand in the foot loop to release the harness Prusik, slide it up, then sit to release the foot Prusik.
