Triple Lashing Hitch

Description
The triple lashing hitch uses multiple wraps around two parallel objects to bind them together firmly. It consists of a series of turns followed by a locking mechanism of frapping turns between the objects. The binding force is generated by the friction of multiple wraps.
Common Uses
Used in campcraft and construction for lashing together poles, building tripods, scaffolding, and camp furniture.
How to Tie
- 1Begin with a clove hitch around one pole.
- 2Wrap the rope around both poles several times in parallel turns.
- 3Add frapping turns between the poles, wrapping around the lashing turns.
- 4Finish with a clove hitch on the opposite pole.
- 5Tighten all wraps before securing the final hitch.
