Description

A knot used to join two fishing lines of similar diameter. The two ends are wrapped around each other and passed through the center in opposite directions.

Common Uses

Joining two sections of fishing leader or tippet of similar diameter.

How to Tie

  1. 1Overlap the two line ends by 8 inches.
  2. 2Wrap one end around the other line 5-7 times, then pass the end back between the two lines.
  3. 3Repeat with the other end, wrapping the same number of times in the opposite direction.
  4. 4Moisten and pull both standing ends slowly to draw the coils together.
