Strangle Knot

Description

A binding knot similar to the Constrictor but wrapped around the rope's own standing part rather than an object. Used for permanent bindings and whipping where it will be cut off.

Common Uses

Permanent whipping at the end of a rope, binding tool handles, creating a permanent loop.

How to Tie

  1. 1Place the rope around the object (or around its own standing part for whipping).
  2. 2Pass the working end around the standing part twice, forming two parallel wraps.
  3. 3Tuck the working end under both wraps and through.
  4. 4Pull tight. The knot will be almost impossible to untie.
