Draw Loop

Description

The draw loop is a sliding loop knot that can be easily tightened or loosened by pulling on either the standing end or the loop itself. It creates a loop that can be adjusted in size even under light tension. The structure allows the knot to be drawn tight around an object.

Common Uses

Used for creating quick-release snares, bundling items, or any situation requiring a loop that must tighten securely around an object.

How to Tie

  1. 1Form a bight in the rope.
  2. 2Twist the bight to create a small loop.
  3. 3Pass the bight through the small loop.
  4. 4Pull the bight to form the main sliding loop.
  5. 5Adjust the loop size by pulling the standing end or the loop itself.
