Description

A quick-release hitch that can be untied instantly by pulling the working end. It consists of a bight passed through an overhand loop and secured with a second bight.

Common Uses

Tethering horses, temporary tying where quick release is needed, kayak docking, camping.

How to Tie

  1. 1Form a loop in the standing part near the anchor point.
  2. 2Pass a bight of the working end up through the loop from underneath.
  3. 3Form a smaller bight in the working end and pass it through the first bight.
  4. 4Push the working end through to lock the two bights together.
  5. 5Pull the standing end to tighten. Pull the working end to release instantly.
