Description

A popular fishing knot that passes the tag end through the hook eye twice before wrapping, providing extra security for larger fish. A variation of the improved clinch.

Common Uses

Tying hooks and lures to monofilament fishing line, particularly for larger fish species.

How to Tie

  1. 1Pass the tag end through the hook eye twice, creating a double pass.
  2. 2Wrap the tag end around the standing line 5-6 times.
  3. 3Pass the tag end back through the double loop near the eye.
  4. 4Pass it back through the large loop just created.
  5. 5Moisten and pull tight.
