Description
A popular fishing knot that passes the tag end through the hook eye twice before wrapping, providing extra security for larger fish. A variation of the improved clinch.
Common Uses
Tying hooks and lures to monofilament fishing line, particularly for larger fish species.
How to Tie
- 1Pass the tag end through the hook eye twice, creating a double pass.
- 2Wrap the tag end around the standing line 5-6 times.
- 3Pass the tag end back through the double loop near the eye.
- 4Pass it back through the large loop just created.
- 5Moisten and pull tight.
