Double Surgeon's Knot

Description
A stronger version of the Surgeon's Knot with two wraps on both the first and second throws. Provides maximum friction and security for tying lines under tension.
Common Uses
Joining two fishing lines of similar diameter; medical suturing where maximum hold is required.
How to Tie
- 1Cross the right end over the left end.
- 2Wrap the right end around and through twice (double overhand).
- 3Cross the left end over the right end.
- 4Wrap the left end around and through twice (second double overhand).
- 5Pull both ends to lock the knot.
