Description

A secure, symmetrical bend known for being easy to untie even after heavy loading. Two interlocking loops form a compact knot that resists jamming.

Common Uses

Joining two ropes of equal or similar diameter where easy untying after loading is important.

How to Tie

  1. 1Form a loop in each rope end, with the working ends on opposite sides.
  2. 2Cross the two loops so one working end goes over the other.
  3. 3Pass each working end through the other's loop from underneath.
  4. 4Pull all four ends to tighten. The knot should sit flat and compact.
