Pile Hitch
Also known as:Post Hitch

Description
A simple, strong hitch for attaching a rope to a post or pile that cannot be slipped over the top. It forms a loop that tightens around the object when tension is applied.
Common Uses
Mooring boats to a piling, attaching rope to a post where end-access is limited.
How to Tie
- 1Form two loops facing opposite directions in the end of the rope (a 'wolf's foot' shape).
- 2Fold one loop over the other to create a cow hitch shape.
- 3Pass both loops over the top of the post.
- 4Pull the standing end to tighten the hitch around the post.
